In college I read Telling Yourself the Truth and although I don't remember much about the book. I remember the title and that helps tons.
We know the truth. The truth sets us free. The truth brings life and restores our minds. But we have to tell it to ourselves and to each other. We have to grab each other's arms an say,
"Remember where we are from?"
"Remember who loves you."
"Remember you are new."
We forget so soon. I forget all the time. Like on the weekend when Jake does the dishes ALL the Time - on Monday, I forget how to do it all. How do I do this? It takes awhile to get back into the groove. But then I can do it. It's the same with faith. We forget and remember and forget and remember.
